As the Senior Allied Health Practitioner in the Ingham Community Mental Health Team, your expertise will shape recovery pathways, strengthen team capacity, and deliver evidence-based care where it matters most.

 The opportunity
Are you passionate about making a real impact in mental health care? The Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic Acute Care Team (ACT) working across both community settings and Townsville University Hospital Emergency Department.

 What you’ll do:

  • Provide triage, assessment, and evidence-based treatment within a multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with emergency department staff to develop clinical pathways for patients needing psychiatric care
  • Deliver mobile crisis response, consultation liaison, and case management.
  • Uphold the Recovery Model and ensure culturally responsive care for consumers and carers
  • Maintain clinical supervision for yourself and support others in their professional development

What’s on offer?

  • Permanent Full-time or Part-time (hours negotiable)
  • Pro rata remuneration package based of full-time of up to $132,567 p.a., comprising:

            o Base salary range of $79,051 - $116,189 p.a. (full-time) or $39.86 0 $58.59 p.h. (part-time)

            o Recreational leave loading (17.5%)

            o Employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%)

 Role requirements

  • A tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Social Work from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • A current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence
