Permanent Full-time | 76 hours per fortnight

Make a meaningful impact on the future of mental health care in North Queensland. This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified Senior Social Worker to lead clinical education and capability development across our Mental Health Service Group.

About the Role

The Clinical Educator – Allied Health plays a key role in strengthening the capability, confidence and career pathways of the allied health workforce. You will contribute to high‑quality mental health care by:

  • Delivering evidence‑based clinical education for allied health clinicians working in mental health.
  • Providing discipline‑specific training and supporting the development of core and advanced competencies.
  • Mentoring and supervising early‑career clinicians, including new graduates and pre‑entry students.
  • Leading strategies that expand clinical placement capacity and support workforce growth.
  • Designing, implementing and evaluating mental health education programs aligned with state and national priorities.
  • Supporting a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the service.

 About You

You bring strong clinical expertise in mental health, a passion for developing others, and the ability to translate evidence into practice. Experience in supervision, education, or workforce development will be highly regarded.

What You’ll Need 

  • A tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Social Work.
  • Eligibility for full membership to AASW.
  • Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in health professional education would be highly regarded.
