Join Blue Knot Foundation – a leading, trauma-informed, for-purpose organisation offering remote work – as a part-time Redress Team Leader to 30 June 2026. Contract extension potential will be assessed at the end of the financial year.
The role supports the service and caseworkers, to meet compliance and performance standards, supports staff wellbeing, and contributes to operational excellence within a values-based social justice framework.
We are looking for an experienced team leader of remote teams with trauma informed counselling experience who can commit to 30 daytime hours per week, worked across four 7.5-hour days on one of the following schedules:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
Our Redress Support service operates 9am-5pm between Monday and Friday. It provides, safe, trauma-informed and culturally safe Telehealth casework and counselling to adult survivors of institutional child sexual abuse inquiring about or engaging with the National Redress Scheme.

Essential Criteria
- Accredited professional: Current non-provisional ACA, PACFA, AASW or APHRA membership, plus a tertiary qualification in counselling, psychology or social work.
- Complex-trauma telehealth practice: 4+ years’ counselling or casework experience using trauma-informed, culturally safe, person-centred approaches; cultural humility, emotional intelligence, clear boundaries and self-care. National Redress Scheme knowledge is highly desirable.
- People Leadership: Constructively leads teams through change, supervision, managing performance, wellbeing, capability and accountability.
- Operational Management: Monitors service activity, schedules effectively and balances competing priorities.
- Decision-Making & Risk: Makes sound, timely decisions under pressure, demonstrating resilience and managing clinical risk appropriately.
- Clinical Practice & Ethics: Applies trauma-informed practice with strong listening, assessment and safety planning skills, while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.
- Engagement & Communication: Builds trust, communicates clearly, embraces diverse perspectives and reinforces consistent leadership messaging.
- Values & Improvement: Acts respectfully and empathetically, upholds organisational values, and is open to feedback, learning and continuous improvement.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Adjusts to evolving processes, KPIs and business needs.
- Compliance & digital readiness: High-quality documentation and consent management; strict privacy/confidentiality and mandatory reporting; confident with MS 365/Teams/SharePoint and CRM (e.g., Salesforce); remote-ready and available part-time.
