Join Blue Knot Foundation – a leading, trauma-informed, for-purpose organisation offering remote work – as a part-time Redress Therapeutic Caseworker to 30 June 2026. Contract extension potential will be assessed at the end of the financial year.
This role is ideal for an experienced trauma-informed counsellor with remote case working experience who can commit to 22.5 daytime hours per week, worked across three 7.5-hour days on one of the following permanent schedules:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Our Redress Support service operates 9am-5pm between Monday and Friday. It provides, safe, trauma-informed and culturally safe Telehealth casework and counselling to adult survivors of institutional child sexual abuse inquiring about or engaging with the National Redress Scheme.

Essential Criteria
- Accredited professional: Current non-provisional ACA, PACFA, AASW or AHPRA plus a tertiary qualification in counselling, psychology or social work.
- Complex-trauma telehealth practice: 2+ years’ counselling experience using trauma-informed, culturally safe, person-centred approaches; cultural humility, emotional intelligence, clear boundaries and self-care.
- Crisis response & escalation (non-crisis service): Competent in risk assessment, case management, crisis response and referral pathways.
- Effective report writing skills and experience required to write National Redress Scheme applications.
- Collaboration, accountability & adaptability: Transparent, reliable team member; engages in supervision/debriefs and reflective practice; comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Community perspective: Background in social/community care (or strong service-system understanding) that anchors practice in an evidenced based approach.
- Compliance & digital readiness: High-quality documentation and consent management; strict privacy/confidentiality and mandatory reporting; confident with MS 365/Teams/SharePoint and CRM (e.g., Salesforce); remote-ready and available part-time.
- Demonstrated high level communication and organisational skills and capacity to work through complex situations
Highly Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrated experience supporting highly complex National Redress applications.
- Previous experience providing counselling to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse within an institutional setting.
- Familiarity with legal, financial and advocacy supports.
