Job Description

FBG works closely with organisations around issues of culture, leadership and taking a strategic approach to organisational mental health and wellbeing, bringing together different perspectives and thought leadership. We deliver our recognised services to a variety of organisations within Government (Federal, State and Local), Not-for-Profit sector as well as the private sector.

The role:

As a Senior Clinician at FBG (part of the APM Group), you will be based in the Canberra office. We are seeking 1 full time, or 2 part time and permanent staff (one for 3 days, one for 2 days per week). You will join a highly collaborative team including Social Workers, Psychologists (clinical stream or organisational) and other specialists.

This ACT specific and proactive wellbeing program is delivered on behalf of our client to a large group of individuals. This is a Government strategy to acknowledge, manage, support and protect people from the impacts of historical or current trauma. You will be responsible for processing restitution applications and provide evidence-based interventions via counselling and the development of self-care plans. Facilitate professional services via telehealth, virtual and face-to-face delivery.

You are approachable, compassionate and enjoy engaging with your clients and the FBG team. You are genuinely passionate about psychological wellbeing and ongoing learning and development. Success is measured by your client’s wellbeing and your ability to provide effective outcomes based on their needs. You will be productive in your practice in order to meet your targets.

About you:

  • Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (Mental Health Accreditation preferred)
  • 8+ years relevant experience in clinical and counselling services
  • Adept and compliant keeping client case notes / records electronically
  • Confident, highly professional and ability to effectively engage with our cohort of clients
  • Willingness to engage in internal Professional Development and supervision
  • Willingness to travel within the Canberra and regional areas if required (occasional)
  • Current driver licence (not essential)
  • Willingness to undergo a new National Criminal History Check upon successful application
