Job Description

Youth Justice Worker - Parkville, Malmsbury Youth Justice Precincts. 

Be a role model for young people in custody and help turn their lives around.

·         Starting salary of up to $74,500 including penalty rates + super

We are now recruiting for full-time and casual roles at Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct and full-time roles at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct.

The department is currently offering up to $10,000 to cover relocation expenses to those who secure ongoing employment at the Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct. Your relocation must be within a 60-minute drive of the Malmsbury precinct. Speak to our team to learn more about our relocation package.

·         Passion and empathy – the willingness to work with young people while still setting boundaries.

·         Life experience – the ability to adapt and manage challenging situations.

·         Dedication and resilience – maintaining positivity and commitment even after setbacks.

·         Teamwork – working with a close team. 

·         Verbal and written communication skills – Building rapport with young people from all walks of life and report writing will be a key part of your role.

·         Positivity – the skill for solving challenges and complex issues with bright ideas.
