About the Service

The Emergency Psychiatric Service (EPS) senior clinician operates from Monash Medical Centre, Emergency Department in Clayton, and will work within a multidisciplinary team with various stakeholders within the Monash Medical Centre Emergency Department, as well as other stakeholders such as Emergency Services.  EPS is a 24 hour a day service, whereby staff work a rotating roster which includes night shift. EPS provides acute psychiatric assessments to patients across the life span. This includes undertaking mental health and risk assessments of paediatric, adult and aged patients, in accordance with the core service demands and KPIs. This is at the ‘front end’ of service delivery with the priority to help the consumer remain in or return to their local community as quickly as possible

About the Role  

We currently have positions available for an EPS Senior Clinician.  This is formally known as ECATT – Emergency Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team. Applicants will be required to work rotating shifts 7 days a week, including night shift.   The role will include establishing partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as working with consumers and family from a recovery orientated, evidence based framework.

Community mental health experience

Qualifications and relevant registrations in Nursing, OT or Social Work and Psychology
Capacity to work independently and within a team
A friendly and professional attitude.
Excellent engagement, relationship and therapeutic skills
Resilience and strong work ethics
Australian working rights
Current AHPRA registration  
You must have relevant professional registration
A valid Working with Children Check
A valid Victorian Drivers Licence is essential
Post graduate experience in mental health  
Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health is preferred
This is a Mental Health Clinician position as follows:

Occupational Therapy Grade 3, Year 1-4
Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Grad 4 Year 1-4
Social Work Grade 3, Year 1-4
Psychology Grade 3, Year 1-4
