About the role

Northside now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team in Canberra on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will be responsible for completing day-to-day administration and processing for accounts payable and accounts receivable in addition to providing secondary support to the broader Finance team.

The key responsibilities and duties for the role will include (but not be limited to):   

  • Process all accounts payable invoices ensuring:
    • Invoices are coded to the correct general ledger account;
    • Invoices are correctly approved as per the Financial Delegation Policy;
    • Correct GST treatment is applied to all invoice entered into the system.
  • All creditors are paid within their Terms of Trade.
  • Process accounts receivable invoices and follow up on outstanding debtors as required.

About You

To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria (but not limited to):

  • An appropriate certificate relevant to the work required to be performed.
  • Understanding and general knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail and analytical skills to identify problems and develop practical solutions
  • High level organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines and priorities

Northside is offering an attractive salary of $57,541 to $62,777 per annum plus 10% superannuation.
