About Us

We are looking for a passionate Accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our team in the Adelaide metro area, mainly in the northern suburbs. We provide preventive, early intervention, clinically based therapy across a full spectrum of mental health disorders to school aged children, adolescents and families. We currently provide services to a large number of schools across South Australia and Northern Territory and the demand for our service is expanding. Our client-centred services, are innovative, holistic and we are always looking to set the standard in best practice care.  We believe the basis of providing quality mental health and wellbeing therapy is staff self-care. On top of this our core focus is aimed towards supporting staff to develop their specific professional development areas, supporting staff to become experts in their own right.

About the Role

This role is therapy focused and you will provide services to your allocated schools on a permanent basis. You will be integrated with the school community as a valued and much needed professional resource.

You will enjoy having the freedom within your allocated schools to be creative and a problem solver, supporting children and their families to gain the best mental health possible. You will also have the support from your dedicated admin team, operational and clinical supervisor. You will have access to an In-house clinical coaching Psychiatrist all aimed at maximising your practice.

There is an option to work only during school terms and enjoy the school holidays off on paid annual leave.

Referral numbers are fully supplied by our referral process. Therapy is provided via a combination of funding including Medicare better access to mental health and NDIS.

About you

You will need:

  • Professional registration with your governing body (Social Worker).
  • At least 2 years post-graduation experience in a Mental Health related field (Social Work).
  • Eligibility to apply for a Medicare Provider Number. We will provide assistance if accreditation is needed.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships and trust within a School community.
  • To be confident in your ability to provide therapeutic interventions to young people and families and a willingness to learn.
  • To provide practical steps for teaching staff to follow, with the goal of enhancing therapeutic outcomes.
