Your key responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will be to provide clinical treatment and therapies designed to enable your clients to maintain and improve the daily functioning and independence. Within the role, you will:

  • Manage a wide variety of client presentations across many funding streams including home care packages, NDIS, Medicare and mental health services
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with healthcare professionals, such as GP's, nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists to ensure re plans are formulated and monitored.
  • Provide long and short term rehabilitation and group programs; eg, falls prevention groups
  • Provide simple and complex equipment prescription, and major and minor home modifications
  • Work with carers to support them in learning the skills to nurture independence across all environments

The ideal person we are looking for has:

  • Relevant qualification and current registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience delivering Occupational therapy
  • Ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations and to manage risk.
  • Commitment to delivering evidence based practice.
  • Willingness to reflect on, review and challenge current practice and an openness to training and development.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and good time management skills
  • Have an understanding of EEO, Work Safety and confidentiality


  • Relevant accreditation as Better Access to Mental Health endorsed Occupational Therapist or in the process of training to become endorsed
