Job Description

·       West Division – 3 fixed term/full time roles

·       North Division – 1 fixed term/part time (0.5) role

Salary: $108,726 - $119,052 plus superannuation

The new Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification Response forms part of the Government's plan to respond to challenges presented by COVID-19 for frontline family services and will strengthen collaborative and coordinated partnerships and practice between child protection and Response practitioners. The Response will promote child and family centred, culturally safe and responsive, relational and evidence informed practices so children and families in focus receive the right support, at the right time and place, and with the right people. 

While a place-based appointment is preferred, successful candidates may have the flexibility to work remotely for a negotiable period with a limited and agreed place-based presence.  Continuation of flexible work locations will be subject to mutual agreement and business requirements.

 

Role Description

The newly created Child Protection Navigator role will play a pivotal role to champion a culture and practice that will enhance improved ways of child protection and child and family services Response practitioners working together to making children safe, supporting stronger families, and protecting future generations.
 

Pivotal to your success in this challenging yet fulfilling role, ideal candidates will possess;

·        A demonstrated ability to quickly establish strong relationships with sector partners and Area based child protection practitioners and senior managers

·        Leadership acumen coupled with experience assuming a mentoring role.
