If you are an experienced psychologist with proven leadership skills within a youth justice setting we would love to work with you.

Territory Families’ Specialised Assessment and Treatment Services provides high quality assessment and targeted intervention to address and support behaviour change in young people in detention and community.

As Principal Psychologist, you are responsible for the leadership, management and supervision of a diverse team of clinical professionals who work with young people to reduce their risk of re-offending and promote successful re-integration into the community.

Your duties include, coordinating and planning clinical service delivery across key service pathways as well as interfacing with youth justice operations on issues related to offenders rehabilitation and reintegration. You will also conduct and oversee the provision of clinical, risk and treatment needs assessments, develop operational guidelines and apply and interpret psychometric tests.

To be successful you require a tertiary qualification in psychology, with eligibility to practice in Australia and demonstrated ability to conduct psychometric evaluations and formal psychological assessment of clients in a forensic setting. Extensive experience in delivering behaviour-changing interventions and demonstrated knowledge of the principles of Risk Need Responsivity, reducing recidivism and best practice therapeutic frameworks are essential.
