Social Worker (Community) 

Location: Townsville, QLD 

Permanent Part-time | 38 hours per fortnight 

Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit  

Remuneration package up to $132,567 p.a. + additional incentives and benefits

About the Role 

In this key role, you will play a vital role in supporting consumers experiencing acute episodes of mental illness through comprehensive assessment, care planning, therapeutic intervention, and discharge coordination within a specialist acute inpatient mental health setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide recovery-oriented, person-centred care that promotes dignity, wellbeing and positive health outcomes for consumers, their families and carers. 

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and successful transition from inpatient treatment to community-based supports. The role offers opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills, exercise professional judgement in complex situations, participate in supervision and ongoing professional development, and contribute to quality improvement and learning initiatives within the service.
