An integral member of the Ethics Complaint Management Process (ECMP), the Case Review Officer’s main purpose is to ensure timely and thorough case reviews of complaints received by the Ethics Office. You will primarily be responsible for conducting the review of ethics complaints and the preparation of a report with findings and recommendations for consideration by the Ethics Committee.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include [not limited to] the following:
Complete a review of the misconduct complaint made against the relevant AASW member social worker(s), and in cases of serious misconduct, draft allegations of serious misconduct
Collate information and evidence from all relevant parties
Complete an assessment of the evidence to form recommendations to the Ethics Council in relation to how the case should proceed
Prepare Case Review Reports
Participate in Ethics Council meetings and presentations to Ethics Council as required
Conciliate the matter if the Ethics Council approves of conciliation as a recommended approach
Advise the Ethics Office if the Case Review Officer becomes aware of any issues that may prevent the progression of a Case or a Case Review Report

Key selection criteria:
Tertiary qualifications in social work and a minimum of three years’ experience in professional practice
Demonstrated experience in complaint handling environments
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage sensitively with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated, well developed written and oral communication skills
High level analytical and research skills to produce written reports and undertake assessments against compliance and procedural requirements
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and prioritise work commitments
Demonstrated understanding of procedural fairness, integrity and ethical practice Proficiency in the use of information technology including Microsoft suite
Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in CRM technology and online service delivery including web and Salesforce
