Mental Health Clinician

Location: We have opportunities in Palen Creek Correctional Centre (Low Custody) and Southern Queensland Correctional Centre.

Flexible Full Time, Permanent opportunities are available
Full time is 36 hours 15 minutes per week (7 hours 15 minutes per day), with flexible options between operating hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm each day.

Salary up to $127941p.a. + 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading

You’ll join our team at either Palen Creek or Southern Queensland Correctional Centre as part of the mental health services team and provide a range of clinical support to adults in our care including:

  • Conducting independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk
  • Providing psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment options to individuals
  • Delivering individual or group-based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience
  • Structured 8-week onboarding and ongoing professional development support lead by incredibly experienced Mental Health Team Leaders
  • Free parking and free lunch on site
  • Mon–Fri hours with flexible options, such as a 9‑day fortnight available

Mandatory Requirements:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and registration or eligibility for registration with APHRA; OR
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration or eligibility for registration with APHRA; OR
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and membership or eligibility for membership with AASW; AND
  • C Class Driver's Licence
