Employment Type: Part Time Temporary (Until 30 June 2026 with possibility of extension) 
Position Classification: Social Worker - Level 3, Occupational Therapist - Level 3, Psychologist, Senior Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialist – Grade 2, Aboriginal Health Practitioner  
Remuneration: $72,186.00 - $134,338.00 per annum, pro rata (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable) 
Hours Per Week:  up to 38

About the role

The Senior Mental Health Clinician provides advanced assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing early psychosis across Griffith and Wagga Wagga. The role delivers evidencebased, recoveryfocused treatment while working closely with families, carers and key community stakeholders to support functional recovery. You will also contribute to a youthfriendly, inclusive team culture and provide supervision and mentoring to junior staff. This position plays a vital part in early intervention, ensuring timely, highquality, consumercentred care in line with legislation, guidelines and NSW Health standards.

Your responsibilities will include.

  • Provide highquality assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing early psychosis.
  • Delivering evidencebased therapeutic interventions aligned with early psychosis clinical guidelines  
  • Partnering with consumers, families and carers in youth-friendly, recovery-oriented care
  • Support positive outcomes through early intervention and continuity of care
  • Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.

Criteria:

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, counselling, or Aboriginal Health (Djirruwang program), with current AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional association.
  • Demonstrated postgraduate experience working within mental health settings.
  • Proven clinical experience and advanced knowledge in youth mental health and/or early psychosis.
  • NSW Working With Children Check and NSW Clas C Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive approach
