Social Worker – Mental Health Clinician (Disaster Recovery) 

Townsville Hospital and Health Service  

Location: Townsville QLD 

Fixed Term Temporary Full-time up to 30/06/2027 

Disaster Recovery Team 

Remuneration package up to $132,567 p.a. + benefits

In this role you will 

  • Collaborate with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.
  • Provide outreach services including trauma-focused assessments, practical advice, and time-limited interventions.
  • Support recovery through case management, care planning, and group work.
  • Ensure compliance with Queensland Recovery Plan standards and National Standards for Mental Health Services.

What You’ll Need 

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work (or equivalent) 
  • Eligibility for full AASW membership 
  • Class “C” motor vehicle licence 

Highly desirable: formal training or qualifications in individual or group therapy.
