Job Description

Country & Outback Health is a not-for-profit organisation focused on building healthier and happier communities. Delivering a diverse range of mental health, allied health, addiction support, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, NDIS services as well as support services for young people within our headspace centres.

  • Fixed Term until January 2027

The Role

Funded by BHP the Flipside program offers a valuable service to people and their families in Roxby Downs and surrounding areas. As the Flipside Clinician you will provide early intervention mental health support to people aged between 10-25 years and while engaging more broadly with young people throughout the community through various education/workshops, schools and other forums to upskill community leaders and ambassadors who support young people in their future.

Key areas of the role will find you:

  • Building purposeful relationships with young people and families
  • Supporting young people individually and through various group forums to be their best.
  • Link young people with community supports to enhance their life.
  • Participate in mental health community awareness programs and initiatives.

About You

If you are passionate about the health and wellbeing of our young people and want to make a difference where it counts then this role is for you!

You will need:

Any of the following qualifications suitable for appropriate registration:

  • Social Worker
  • Psychologist / Provisional Psychologist / Occupational Therapist
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Able to work with young people and their families in a rural setting to assess and develop treatment plans that contribute toward recovery.
  • Ability to engage with community groups and schools to promote positive mental health outcomes.
