Located within the School of Social Sciences, this role supports the implementation of the Social Work field education program under the guidance of the Field Education academic leader and Head of Social Work. A particular emphasis is placed on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and strengthening relationships with field placement agencies.
Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement and relationship management, placement of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students in government and non-government agencies, and the development of quality operational outcomes in the ongoing management of the field education program in accordance with accreditation and legislative requirements.
Success in this role will require cultural knowledge and the ability to incorporate this knowledge into the development of quality operational outcomes in the ongoing management of the field education program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of Aboriginal scholars within the School of Social Sciences and with the UOW Woolyungah Indigenous Centre.
