About the role:

The Senior Social Worker is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing quality services to patients/clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

As the Renal Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of a comprehensive, high level, quality clinical services in line with best practice, including services of a complex nature, to people across MLHD.

  • Providing a consultative service and clinical expertise in renal psychosocial issues.

  • Providing high quality Social Work supervision, education and support of Social Work staff, allied health assistants and students across where required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

  2. Advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in delivery of high-quality evidence based Social Work in the field of healthcare and chronic disease related psychosocial supports.

  3. Strong leadership within a multidisciplinary team setting

  4. Excellence in communication skills and problem-solving
