Several positions are available working in Wadeye- Port Keats and Jabiru.

The Job!

As a frontline Team Leader (P3) you form part of a dedicated team of
professionals delivering integrated statutory and non-statutory welfare services
to vulnerable children and families. Depending upon your professional
experience your duties may include assessing individual, family and community
issues, applying appropriate methods of intervention, delivering case work and
case management services, undertaking statutory responsibilities and
exercising delegations under the Care and Protection of Children Act.

To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification which gives eligibility for
membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian Community Workers
Association or the Australian Psychological Society or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
Your strong understanding of the principles and functions of delivering statutory and
non-statutory welfare services, conducting strength based assessments, developing
and delivering effective interventions, and demonstrated capacity to interpret and apply
complex legislation will contribute to your success in the role.
In addition, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures, with the ability to
communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.

dating back 20,000 years. Mary River, Djukbinj and Coburg National Parks are
also located within the Top End Region.
The region offers incredible outdoor experiences from exploring the natural
surrounds from the bush to the beach, island adventures, tropical sunsets, cool
dry season breezes, and the wet seasons’ spectacular lightning storms.
