Professional 2 Remuneration Package $106,109 - $126,196 (including salary $90,204 - $107,445)
+ Market allowance up to $8,620, per annum + more!

Selection will be made at the P1 or P2 level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant. Some positions within the agency attract additional allowances, successful P1 applicants will be appointed to the 4th increment.

The Job!
As a frontline Child Protection Practitioner/Senior Child Protection Practitioner (P1/P2) you form part of a dedicated team of professionals delivering integrated statutory and non-statutory welfare services to vulnerable children and families. Depending upon your professional experience your duties may include assessing individual, family and community issues, applying appropriate methods of intervention, delivering case work and case management services, undertaking statutory responsibilities and exercising delegations under the Care and Protection of Children Act.
To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification which gives eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian Community Workers Association or the Australian Psychological Society or equivalent tertiary qualifications. Your strong understanding of the principles and functions of delivering statutory and non-statutory welfare services, conducting strength based assessments, developing and delivering effective interventions, and demonstrated capacity to interpret and apply complex legislation will contribute to your success in the role. In addition, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures, with the ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.
