You are described as a motivated, organised and resilient health professional who understands the complex impact of violence abuse and neglect on victims, families, carers and the community.
The Violence, Abuse & Neglect (VAN) Counsellor provides crisis intervention, specialist counselling, support, education, information and advocacy to victims of violence abuse and neglect and their non-offending family members.
You will display your prior experience providing culturally appropriate and competent services and programs. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, have an exceptional work ethic and time management skills.
You will join a supportive team in community health providing counselling, support and information across the Moree District Health Service. In working closely with community and government agencies this position will provide you with the opportunity to make a difference to those who have experienced violence, abuse and neglect.
Job share arrangements will be considered.
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
