Job Description

Position Title: Social Worker – Senior 

Location: Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Wide Bay Mental Health and Specialised Services, Hervey Bay Hospital  

Remuneration: 

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $ 128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)   • Deliver high level clinical Social Work services within the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit to ensure optimal assessment, clinical intervention, and discharge planning occurs for health service consumers as part of a broader multidisciplinary team. 
  • Work collaboratively with consumers and multidisciplinary professionals to provide high level clinical care and a therapeutic environment conducive to the dignity and wellbeing of consumers and carers within Mental Health and Specialised Services. Provide high level profession specific services, consultation and support, as required, within the team and service. 
  • Provide expert advice on effective service delivery throughout the review and redevelopment of a newly expanded model of care, to include contemporary multidisciplinary services within the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit. 
  • The Social Work role will be expected to bring a particular focus on psycho-social aspects to optimise the patient assessment and treatment and care planning by connecting, advocating and developing partnerships to enhance recovery.
