Manager

Amanda Vos
BSocWk, MAASW (Acc)
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work from The University
of Queensland in 2001, Amanda has spent her professional life exploring
and celebrating the diverse pathways a social work career can offer.
She has worked as a Social Worker with Centrelink, developed curriculum
for life coaches and counsellors, tutored undergraduate students,
and was the AASW (QLD) Executive Officer from 2004 to 2006 before
embarking upon the adventure to create the AASW Horizon Career

throughout Australia, North America and India on professional well-being,
thriving in social work, and career enhancement; and develop international
social work film and photography projects that have explored these
issues. She has fulfilled elected roles with the AASW, the UQ Social
Work and Applied Human Sciences Alumni, become a founding member

Career Services Social
Worker

Lyndal Greenslade
BA, BSocWK (Hon), GradDipProfCounselling, MAASW
The path from completing her first degree in the 1980's to the
present day has afforded Lyndal the opportunity to create a career
that reflects her values and feeds her passions. Lyndal began her
working life as a Writer and Theatre Administrator and moved on
to developing and managing her own business, Calm Kids, a program
of yoga, tai chi and meditation classes for children. As often
happens when taking time off to raise a family, Lyndal had an epiphany
which saw her changing her career direction completely, pursuing
graduate studies in Counselling. A love of learning and deep belief
in the need to work towards a socially just and equitable society
motivated Lyndal to build upon her interest in the Human Services
and complete a Bachelor of Social Work. During her studies, Lyndal
became interested in advocating for the profession and supporting
Social Workers themselves. As a published writer, Lyndal
enjoys finding ways to advocate for social work with the written
word, contributing to several publications in Australia and the
USA. In 2007, Lyndal was a recipient of the Dean's Scholar Award
and The University of Queensland Medal for outstanding academic
excellence.
