Welcome! Horizon Career Centre is a national program of the Australian Association of Social Workers. The AASW is the professional representative body of Social Workers in Australia, with over 6500 thousand members. Here at the Centre we develop and co-ordinate all AASW career related products and services including advertising; career guidance, consultations, counselling and coaching; as well as delivering career presentations and writing publications in Australia and overseas.

We provide web-based advertising opportunities for human service employers, recruitment companies and organisations wishing to promote to a targeted audience of active human service jobseekers and those who visit our site and use our services to enhance their current and future career experiences. We do this by providing two major products:

    As Australia’s only nationally co-ordinated human services career centre (actually, as far as we know, we’re a world first!) we provide career guidance, consultations, counselling and coaching; deliver career presentations for students and workers; and are ‘out and about’ at industry events. So everyday we are talking with your current and future target audience, listening to their career needs - we know what human service students, workers and jobseekers are looking for!     Every month we not only have contact with thousands of Australian human service students, workers and employers, but hundreds of people from 20+ countries interested in working in the Australian human services sector. Whether the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, Asia, South America or anywhere in between, international Social Workers are referred to us if they’re interested in an Australian career experience. We also contribute regular and ad hoc career articles in overseas publications so our presence in the international community continues to grow!
